In 2014, Arhitekt11 won first place in an invited architectural competition for the design of the Kiikri 2 apartment buildings. Eight years later, in 2022, these visionary designs became a reality in the heart of Kadriorg.
Kiikri Residences represent a timeless and solid school of design. The goal was to create an outstanding solution that is relevant and fresh in its time, but also enjoyable in a few decades. The architectural solution follows a modular system, where each apartment is clearly defined within a white frame. This creates a regular but not monotonous facade rhythm that reflects the internal space distribution.
The choice of materials emphasizes quality and durability. Natural and representative high-quality materials have been used: wood, natural stone and glass. The use of large windows and glass surfaces brings a lot of light into the room, and the facade with natural granite stone creates a truly dignified, yet modern appearance for the house. Balconies and terraces form an integral part of the architectural concept. You can recognize Kiikri Residents from afar by their long and spacious terraces, which offer unparalleled views of both the sea and the beautiful Kadriorg Park.
The Kiikri Residents residential quarter is located in arguably one of the most beautiful locations in Tallinn, on the edge of Kadriorg Park and the Tallinn Bay, where the Pirita Promenade with its picturesque city and sea views begins.
The project has also received international recognition. Metro Capital's development project Kiikri Residents won first place in the residential development category at the Baltic Real Estate Awards, the first new Estonian development.
