The villa, designed between the forested slopes of Maarjamäe, tells the story of how modern architecture can be born into the heart of the landscape without disturbing its peace. The low, horizontal silhouette follows the natural waves of the ground, creating the impression that the building has grown organically out of the soil. Light wall surfaces and warm wooden details create a refined play of contrasts, while the frames of the large windows invite the forest directly into the home.
The architectural concept of the villa is based on playing with privacy and space - although the building modestly lands on the landscape, large glass surfaces open up to bold views into the depths of the forest. The living spaces and outdoor terraces, which merge into one whole, create the feeling that the boundary of the home extends far below the treetops. This is architecture that understands that sometimes the boldest gesture is just a gentle touch.
