Designing a space for a law firm means solving a dilemma: how to create an environment that is both confidential and open, representative and cozy? The keyword BALANCE became the heart of Sorainen’s new work environment – it guided us through every decision, from the space program to the last piece of furniture.
The strong, cold tones of the brand needed warming, so we balanced Sorainen’s characteristic blue tones with soft wood and textiles. The cabinet system ensures confidentiality, but partial glass walls create spaciousness – and privacy with curtains if necessary. The dark central part of the building became the heart of the collaboration spaces, where meeting and communication rooms of different nature support teamwork.
The high ceiling and spacious views on the Rotermanni Street side became the employees’ relaxation zone – a lounge surrounding the kitchen with a three-level staircase, which can accommodate both books and plaids. This is not just a relaxation room, but also a representative area for receiving clients. The design language intentionally plays with two languages: square contours meet rounded lines, creating an environment that is professional but not cold. The result is a space that acknowledges that even in the most serious work, we need human warmth.
