The 28-storey, 111-metre-high building is the tallest office building in Estonia and the new common home for all of Swedbank’s Tallinn units.

To create an interior architecture concept for such a grand building, we needed an idea that works simultaneously across the entire building, but leaves each floor with its own personality. The “Seasons” concept is based on a simple realization — the change of seasons is a universal experience that speaks to everyone, regardless of age or cultural background. The four main zones of the building bear the character of the four seasons, autumn, winter, spring and summer. Each season is interpreted in the space through its own colours, textures, plants and atmosphere, but all floors are connected by a common language, which is natural oak, natural materials and carefully selected textiles that reflect the rhythm of Estonian nature.

Floor-to-ceiling glass facades create workplaces with the best views of the city. The higher you go, the more the city view becomes an integral part of the atmosphere of the space. Each floor is planned so that employees have the choice of working in an open collaboration area, working in a quiet concentration zone or being in an informal resting place.

The autumn floor has a combination of warm oak, ochre and deep red tones. The winter floor is dominated by cold greenish-gray tones and a calmer atmosphere. Spring brings bright materials and pink and organic olive textiles. The summer floor is dominated by yellow, orange and green — the building’s happiest and most energetic tone.

The materials used in the building are environmentally friendly and contain minimal volatile organic compounds. The building has been designed in accordance with the international BREEAM Excellent standard. Sustainability in this building ranges from energy solutions to furniture certificates.

The working environment created for Swedbank is proof that conceptual interior architecture is not a luxury, but a tool that makes everyday work better.
